Which One???
When I went up to the hospital yesterday I found out that the American Cancer Society allows Cancer patients to have one free wig. I tried on a couple and Broc was so funny. There was one that was really light blonde with a little tint of red and it was huge curls. Just didn't look good on me. But he loved it. I told him I didn't like that one and he said he did. Then I tried this one on and he said he didn't like it. After deciding that I was going to go with this one he started to cry. Once we got home I asked him again if he liked it and he said "I like the other one you got in Salt Lake better" it was pretty cute. So I will probably wear the blonde short one most of the time and just to change things up I will wear the other one.
Also I wanted to tell Christine (Kris's mom) for helping with buying the wig. Thank you so much!!!! We love you.

Hey Baby
Yesterday Kris, Broc and I went down to a store called Creative Wigs. I was a little nervous at first but felt pretty good afterwards. I tried on sevearl wigs and went with this one because it was closest to my orignal hair color. When we got home last night my long time hair stylist came over and touched up Kris's shaving job. Then I went to her today and she trimmed the bangs in this wig because it was contantly in my eyes and I coulndn't stand it. Hope you guys like it.
The first thing that came to my mind when I tried this one on is
"Hey sugar you lookin for date?" A line from one of my favorite movies, Pretty Woman. When Edward is on the blvd. looking for directions and she has her wig on. What do you think??

Buzz Buzz
Lately my hair has been getting really frizzy and yucky. For some reason today I thought "It would probably be best to trim it so the ends wont be so gross and allow it to grow. Kris got out his trimmers and put on a four blade thingy and away he went...rolled it over my head and wa-la I now have peach fuzz. Afterwards I was like "Holly crap what did I just do" but I cant do anything about it now but just let it grow. So please pray that my hair will grow fast. :) LOL

Craft for the month
Many of you know my sister and I get together once a week or so and attempt to make either a treat or craft. Well this week we got a little ambitious. We made a treat and a craft and surprisingly they both turned out great. Here is our treat and I will leave you the recipe just in case you want to try it. It was really easy and good!
Sweet Heart Brownies
RECIPE INGREDIENTS:
36 2-inch graham crackers
1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk (don't use evaporated milk)
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
16-ounce package semisweet chocolate morsels
3/4 cup coarsely chopped pecans
RECIPE INGREDIENTS:
36 2-inch graham crackers
1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk (don't use evaporated milk)
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
16-ounce package semisweet chocolate morsels
3/4 cup coarsely chopped pecans
1. Preheat the oven to 350° (325° for glassware). While you generously grease an 8-inch square baking pan, put your kids to work crushing the graham crackers into fine crumbs. It's especially easy and fun if you seal the crackers in a plastic bag and then use a rolling pin.
2. Stir together the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Add the chocolate morsels, pecans, and graham cracker crumbs and mix with a wooden spoon until well blended.
3. Spoon the batter (it will be very stiff) into the greased pan. Use the back of a wooden spoon (or clean hands) to pat the batter into an even layer. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes. Let cool completely in the pan.
4. Use a cookie cutter or a butter knife to cut out small (these brownies are rich!) heart shapes. Serve plain or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or raspberry sherbet. Makes about 8 to 12, depending on size.
After we made that we Skyped my sister that lives in New Mexico and she showed us how to make these cute Valentine boxes. They would also work for any other holiday. Aren't they cute!! Very easy to make too, if you want to learn just let me know I would be happy to share this with you.
Playing the Computer
We have been showing Broc how to use the computer (wisely). He knows how to get to the Thomas and Friends website and navagate his way around. The other night Kris and I were in the kitchen and we hadn't heard from Broc, so we walked around the house looking for him and he was in the computer room getting on the computer trying to play a game. Pretty cute, but scarey he is growing up too fast.

Swimming in Winter
Yesterday our friends called and invited us to go swimming at the Layton Surf and Swim. It was pretty fun! It was just Broc and I and our Friends Amy and Hadley. They have a dome over it so it was pretty warm, the water wasn't too bad, but if you know me it was cold for me. Water would be cold for me even if it was 80 degrees. We rented this inner tube and it was a small one, so Broc wanted to play with it in the 2ft deep water. Amy and I were sitting in the water just visiting and I look over in time to see the inner tube on its side and Broc with his head in the water. I looked up in time to jump up and grab him just before the life guard did. I felt like the worst mother in the world. I turned my head for two seconds and he was on his side. After I grabbed him he kept saying to me "mom I choked I choked." I felt horrible. Especially after about a week ago I had a horrible dream that I put a baby in a tub and forgot about the baby and it drowned. (Remember it was just a dream) but it felt so real. So after that happened with Broc I felt awful. Needless to say I wouldn't let him play with the big inner tube anymore. I of course forgot my camera so no pictures but we had a great time. Afterwards we took the kids to McDonalds for an ice cream cone. I hope we can go again it was pretty fun going swimming when the weather is cold. Thanks Amy for the invite!
