Strides For Breast Cancer
This morning we woke up early to be in Salt Lake by 8 a.m. for my first Strides for Breast Cancer walk put on by the American Cancer Institute. Kris, Broc, my Mom, Pip, Mom C, Papa, Cole and his friend, Jen and April came to walk with us. It was held at Liberty Park and they had a handful of booths with information and T-shirts and free stuff to give away. My sister in law Pip bought me the shirt you see me in below. While walking around my patient navigator at McKay was down there and gave me this Sash that said Survivor on it along with the cute red hat you see Broc wearing. They had pink light weight draw string backpacks they were giving away too. Some people were walking around with this big board where you can write a message to the people you were supporting.
The race consisted of walking around Liberty Park 3x's. They handed out water, bananas, granola bars, yogurt while you were walking. Pip and my mother in law ran most of it, after the first time around Broc had spotted a play ground, so Kris and his brother took him over there for a little bit, then on the final lap Kris joined my side and finished with me. My mom, Jen and April were by me the whole race.
It was a great experience and one I hope to continue to do each year. Thank you to those who came to support and those who were silent supporters. I hope to see you all again at this next year and continue to raise awareness for breast cancer.

I thought these things were only found on Emails!
Rules: List 6 quirks that you have and then tag 6 other people to list their quirks.
- I iron just about everything. Except my underware. I even sometimes iron my sheets.
- When I shower I wash my entire body then go back and wash my legs again to shave them. Then wash them again.
- I cut my lawn a different way each time I mow and I like the lines to be straight!
- Like Kelly I fill up glasses of water and end up leaving them all over the house only to leave rings in the places where I leave them.
- Every night when Broc goes to bed we put him in bed then I do stuff till he falls asleep then I go in and check on him, then after I get out of the shower I check him again, then right before I get into bed I check him again. (FREAK!)
- Every time I go to Walmart even when Broc isn't with me I still go down the isle where the Thomas stuff is in hopes that they may have a new train. I think I am worse then Broc.
That was kind of hard to think of those. I hope you enjoy my weirdness and now I tag; Jen B, Kristin, Amy, Kim, Aarin and Julie. Enjoy and I will be checking. Thanks Kelly that was fun!

Halloween Costume
As many of you know our son LOVES Thomas the Train. I have had a really hard time trying to decide what Broc is going to be for Halloween this year and he keeps telling me something different every day. Saturday our decision was made and boy am I glad to have that checked off my list of things to do. Lori and her daughter Angela showed up yesterday with Broc's Halloween outfit. Take a look!
Couarge
Today while checking out the Internet I noticed Kris and Broc outside riding bikes, particularly that they kept going up and down the driveway to the street. I noticed that Broc would watch Kris get up momentum from across the street and come up on the driveway. Broc however would get going then stop and get off his bike and walk it up the driveway and then get on.
After Broc watching his daddy do it several times I see Broc get on his bike ride out to the street and with this very determined look on his face start pedaling as fast as he could to make it up the driveway from the street. It was a big accomplishment for our little guy as he has been getting really good at riding his bike and fast, however when it came to go from the street to our driveway he always got off and pushed it up. Now he can ride it up with no problem!

Skipping Pages
Tonight it was Kris's turn to read Broc his book before bed. So I went in with him and sat on the bed while he started reading. Immediately after he reads the first page he tries to skip a page! Of course Broc being the smart and very observant boy he is says "Dad you skipped a page, go back!" I bit back a laugh and smile at Kris and he tries not to laugh and says "I did" it was so funny. I had to walk out and share this with you all.
NEVER SKIP PAGES, THEY KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Breast Cancer Awareness Month
As many of you know I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer the first of August. It has been a long hard road but I have been very fortunate.
I just wanted to encourage all of the ladies to remember to get your yearly exams and also do regular breast examines on yourself. You never know when you may feel a lump. There are several web-sites one can look at to get more information and I encourage you to do so.

I also wanted to let everyone that there is a STRIDES FOR BREAST CANCER walk on October 11th. It is in SLC at Liberty Park and it starts at 9 a.m. I will be attending that and would love to have all who wants to support Breast Cancer Awareness walk with me. I know many of you have all ready done and given so much but this is something easy and for a wonderful cause. If you want to participate please contact me and I will get you some more information.
Thank You
Yesterday while I was at a Doctors apt someone left a yummy plate of cupcakes and a cute little plate. I dont know who it was but THANK YOU! They were delicious. And the plate is very cute!

Talking in His Sleep
Last night I couldn't sleep so I spent most of the night updating my blog and other things. When I finally went to sleep I crawled into bed and just as I am about to shove my ear plugs in my ears for a quite nights sleep I hear....
"We're tired, and that is Frankenstein"
I was laughing so hard! Then I tried to talk to him to get him to say more but it didnt work. When I asked Kris what he was dreaming about last night he said he didn't dream last night. I was like SURE YOU DIDN"T.
