Festival of Tree's

On Saturday we went with some of Kris's family to the Festival of tree's. I had never been to it before and was very curious as to what it was all about.
CROWDS is what it was all about. But the best part was seeing all the unique decorated trees, ginger bread houses, wreaths, and smaller trees. Their were some that were ugly, hilarious, beautiful, heart warming, so many different stories behind each tree. I wish we had the time and patients to learn about each tree and why they decorated it the way they did.

After enjoying a yummy scone we went over to an area for kids were with tickets they could make things. Broc got a tattoo on his check, then upon seeing how wonderful it looked he talked his Grandma into getting one just like his. Pretty cute! He made three reindeer ornaments out of light bulbs, a reindeer hat, and a painted a plaster ornament. There was also a phone both that you could go in and talk to an elf! But the line for that was really long and we were hungry. All in all we had a great time and wouldn't mind going again. Just not on the last day!

If you cant see these very well I will tell you what they are. The first one is on a shark, the tale is coming out the top and the head is right where Broc's head is. It was one that sold that along with the tree you got scuba diving lessons.

The second one is a smaller tree and it was for breast cancer.

The third one was of Temple. The person who bought this tree got several huge pictures of about 5 temples in black and white (the new ones that have come out) along with ornaments that had temples on them tiles with saying on them and signs about temples. It was so beautiful.

This is a very cute playhouse that sold too, I want one. This is Broc's Aunt Pip, her daughter Taelor and our other neice Katie.

The Shirt!!!

It was only missing one thing! THE PALM TREES THAT CRISSCROSSED IN FRONT! But of course they wouldnt survive, I am just happy there is one finally close by!

In-N-Out

In-N-Out is finally here in Utah! Granted it isn't very close to my house at all, I drove down to Provo which is about an hour and ten min. drive for me just to have the most delicious cheesburger and fresh cut fries and of course the thickest chocolate shake ever! (that is all a matter of opinion I must add because Kris or his brother dont appreiciate the fine delicate way they put the burger together or their special sauce. They compare it to McDonalds! I know they are nuts huh?)

I was going down to Provo to help my brother in law decorate his new appartment and of course I told him I wouldnt come down unless he took me there! He griped the whole time, wondering why they didnt have FRY SAUCE, HELLO IT IS A CALIFORNIA BUGER JOINT, and why people would stand in line for it, why they didn't have a dollar menu, good stuff isnt cheap Ralph! He also stated "they cant be making any money off this place with all the people they have standing around doing nothing and the cost to run the place." Negitive Nelly I tell ya! Ralph I hope you read this!!!!!!! You will go with me again seeing how you only live a block away! And you will love it enventually!

That cheesburger really hit the spot! Even Broc liked it. Every time we would go to California I would make Kris stop there, and when I went to Disneyland with my sister's we went twice!

My brother in law thought I was crazy because I was taking pics! I had to because I have to take this oppertunity to rub it in my sister's face that I got to eat there! Sorry Tara but it was do yummy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When you come for a visit we can go!
Oh yeah, the line really wasnt that long, we waited in line for about 5 minutes. The line for the drive through wasn't that bad either compared to what I have heard it has been. To give you an idea of the line for the drive through, they have it wraped around a shopping stip mall and they have In-N-Out workers there directing traffic. And once people got inside they would stand by a table so that when someone was done eating they could sit there, CRAZY

Decorating Time

Its that time again. Friday night Broc and I Decorated the Christmas tree. Last year he pretty much did it by himself, this year I helped! He loves to decorate, he kept saying "come on Mom lets decorate!" When we got to the bottom of the tote there were about a dozen or so ornaments left that I don't particularly like or thought there was room, but Broc had to have them on the tree and said he could "Squeeze in the back" to put them on. The next morning he got up and was ready to decorate again. When I told him we were done he started to take things off the tree again and place them on the floor and re-put them on again in a different spot. It was so darn funny.
I also decorated my doorway again. I think it looks so cute! I am not done yet, I still have to put the lights on it, but it is so cute. Also last night I noticed that all the neighbors on my side of the street have Christmas lights up but me! I keep telling Kris "you going to disappoint your son by being the only house in the neighborhood with out lights'' "yes" was his reply. He doesn't want to climb on our roof, not that I blame him, I mean have you seen how steep it is. But come on man tie a rope to ya and attach it to something and climb away. I think I am starting to wear him down though. I will continue to work on that! So those that read this that talk to him, ask him if he put them up or not and if not tell him not to be a scourge and put them up. I need all the help I can get!!!!

Broc laying everything out!

Happy Turkey Day

Even though the day has past, I wanted to shout out, "HAPPY THANKSGIVING" to everyone. We had a wonderful time, with great food and family. This year it was our turn to go to Kris's families for dinner. It wasn't the same though because a few family members and their kids were missing due to them going to their in-laws. It was...QUITE. Which was wired, 7 out 16 grand kids were there. We had fun though. After we ate dinner we looked through the ads and found that Michael's was having a huge sale on their Cricket Cartridges and that is started at 5, and Old Navy had their jeans on sale for $10 for kids and 15 for adults. We ventured on down and between me, my mother in law, and Amber we bought 12 new cartridges, they are so fun and i cant wait to use them. Then I went to Old Navy and bought some jeans for my sister for her kids, since they weren't near an Old Navy. So all in all I think I did really good.

After that we went to visit my family and had some yummy pie and talked about our plan of attack for Friday morning.

Friday morning came and my mom and sister went to Target before it opened and waited in line. Me well I wanted some more sleep so I didn't meet them till 6. I also had a helper this year. Kaeling (my bro-in-laws great friend) went with me. She is from Canada and has never been shopping on BLACK FRIDAY. So I introduced her to the madness. All though I have to say it was pretty mild this year. I hope she had a great time and comes back to do it again with me.
We went to Walmart, Best Buy, Sears, the Mall, Shop-Ko, Target again then went to lunch at my favorite place, Cafe Rio. All this went on and my wonderful husband stayed home with Broc the whole time and didn't even call me to ask when I was coming home. In fact I called him and he said "you aren't supposed to be calling me remember!"
We had a great time, I got almost all of my shopping done, except for a few minor things.

Hope everyone had a great Turkey Day and was able to spend it with family or someone you love.
I am grateful for both of our families and for all they do for us, I am grateful for my two boys! They bring me so much happiness and I am so blessed to have them as part of my eternal family.
I am also grateful that I was able to taste the yummy food this year! The gravy, turkey everything was great! Much better than last years food. (Not that it wasn't good, just didn't really taste it at all)

I've Lost IT

Okay I have offically lost my mind!

I SIgNeD UP FoR a HALF MARATHON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My freind Amy has talked about doing this half marathon in St. George for a while now. Now I am doing it with her! Monday starts the ten week training. I hope I can keep up with her and the schedule. There are many reasons why I want to do this.
1. I don't think I can and I want to prove myself wrong
2. I always back out of things and I cant do it with this
3. I have battled Cancer and won and now I feel like I can do just about anything.

Thanks for encouraging me Amy. Cant wait to kick butt! I don't know what kind of time to try to beat, for right now I just want to finish, without fainting!!!!!

Oh yeah it is in St. George on Jan. 23 2010

More Halloween PIcs

I found some more pics from Halloween.

These are from his school party, he couldn't wear a mask so Kris painted his face. When he got home I tried to get the paint off thinking it would wipe off nicely, um NO I had to scrub the poor kids face!

My friend wanted to help me with my pitful hair so I went over to her house and this is the result. It looks so cute (at least my opinion) but I cant do it! I wonder if I went over to her house every morning if she would do it for me. Ummmmmmmmmm probably not, so when I am bored I will keep trying to see if I can do it in less then two hours! She also told me it works easier when my hair is a little dirty, meaning dont wash it every day. But I hate to not wash my hair, guess it is something I may just have to get used to.
Thanks Mauri your the best!

Pizza Man

Today Broc had a field trip to the Pizza Man. First they watched them make the dough, then they got to twist bread sticks, and make their own individual pizza to take home. It was kinda funny because the owner said "do any of you watch your mom make bread?" I think only one person raised their hand. I was thinking really mister I have attempted to make bread twice, once in a bread maker and once with my sister in law. Never by myself! I would rather buy it. Lazy I know!

Oh and to tell you what a terrible mother I am, apparently I missed the memo on the kids wearing their pre-school T-Shirts, because Broc wasn't wearing his, one other kid didn't wear theirs either but out of the 24 kids only two didn't wear theirs.

Happy Halloween

Megatron is what Broc was for Halloween this year. This week we went to three Halloween Parties. Tuesday we went to the church for the trunk or treat. However because it was so cold we just had it inside.
Thursday he had a party for school and got more candy, afterwards he had some of his friends come over to play.
Saturday morning Kris's mom had a Halloween party for all the grand kids. They had waffles with blood and worms, games and prizes. The kids had a great time, it was pretty crazy but a lot of fun. Thanks Grandma for a great time.
The past couple years we have taken Broc all over on Halloween to go trick or treating, this year we said no more and stayed in our own neighborhood and had a great time, all though we missed seeing all of our other friends we had a fun time hanging out trick or treating in our own neighborhood. He had a very full bag and we were only gone for about an hour and half.
We hope everyone had a great night filled with candy, and spookiness.
