Still Here

Man oh man have I missed bloggging. Here is a small re-cap of what has been going on.

I got my computer back, but still havent figured out how to get my pics back on it.
On the 19th Broc and I tagged along with my brother to New Mexico to visit my oldest sister. We had a great time with them. (Pics will follow shortly)

We got back on Saturday afternoon, I cleaned the offices, did my laundry and had some last minute shopping to do before we went to girls camp which started on Monday.

Saturday night my camp director and I went to Sam's and Walmart to get some things and by the time we left Walmart it was around 10:30. Since I drove the truck I parked far away from the entrance, and when I parked no one was around me. When we got back to the car there was this little Tibrone next to me. As I started to drive away I turned to sharp instead of taking the turn wide (since being in the big truck) and the back tire of the truck ran right over the front of this Tibrone. I went into Walmart to have them page the person to come out. When I walked back out there this little 17 year old girl was on the phone with her dad saying someone had hit her and drove off. I was like hello airhead, there is this big truck next to you dont you think it could have been the one. So I told her it was me and gave her my information. The parents agreed it would be okay if I just gave her my info and I left. On Monday I get a call from her agent saying that my insurance company says my insurance has lapsed and I dont have coverage. I was like WHAT!!!!!!!!!! Anyway it turned out there was a glitch in the system and everything is being taken care of.

Monday came and we loaded everything up for camp and away we went to Bear Lake till Thursday. I had to drive the truck with our smaller trailor and I was so nervous. I really didn't think Kris was going to let me drive since I ran over a car. But he did and away we went. We went to the Minnatonka Caves and that was intresting and fun. The guide we had was like, oh I dont know 12, okay he was probably 15 but he came up with the cornest things to say along the route. Once we got done with that we headed to Bloominton Lake. I guess I am not cool enough because in the truck I only had leaders. But we had a great time and had some very intresting conversations. While on the way down the mountain from the caves I put the truck in a lower gear so I wouldnt ride the brakes the whole time, while desending the truck shut off on me and thankfully we were headed towards the mountain and not the cliff. Dont know for sure why that happened but it sure freaked me out.
We went boating all day on Tuesday and the girls had a fabulous time. The weather was a little tricky, it was warm and hot one mintue and windy and cold the next. It seemed like I was the only one affected by the weather as the girls boated and played in the water all day.
On Wednesday we did a bunch of crafts and a hike. One thing we did was soaked our feet in water then painted our toe nails. Well we had my little wadding pool and it only had about fives inches of water or so in it, I was sitting in my camp chair with my camera and phone in the cup holder part (why I had my cell phone you ask? We were waiting for Kris and Amy's husband to come and they didnt have the address) well I got up to sit on the blanket to paint my toe nails and a gush of wind decied to come up and blow a chair in the water. I turned around just as someone said "oh the wind blew a chair in the water" and realized it was MY chair. I ran over to it and my phone and camera were completely submereged in water. I tryed to keep my cool, went inside and took it all apart and hoped it would work. The next morning they still wouldnt work. However my sister told me to take my phone apart and put it in rice and on Friday morning it worked. What did we learn from this, Dont bring your cell phones to camp and when you drop your phone in water just put it in rice and hopefully it will work.
All in all we had a wonderful time at camp and I learned a lot about the girls and the leaders too.
