Up, Up and away

Saturday was such a beautiful day. I planted a couple flowers, Kris worked some more on the basement, Broc played outside jumping on his trampoline, playing in the sand.

AND THEN CAME THE WIND

"This is what our trampoline is supposed to look like!"

However this morning when I got up and started getting ready for church all the sudden I heard this loud noise. Noticing it was the wind, I opened the blinds just in time to see our very heavy trampoline being lifted up in the air and blown across our yard hitting the back of the neighbors house. Kris was still laying in bed and I said Holly Crap there goes our trampoline. He jumps out of bed and looks out the window while I go running down the hall to grab my jacket and boots.
We get outside and the trampoline is smashed on one side, missing pieces on another and springs where everywhere. As we start trying to tear it apart we realize we are going to need some help, I called our neighbors and probably woke them up and they came to help. They said they had heard a loud noise but didn't know what it was.
The wind was blowing so hard that as you walked you were literally blown away, it was hard to get back in the garage with the pieces of the trampoline once we started taking it apart. All the trash cans were being blown everywhere, ours along with 5 other peoples news papers were down the street. We had a brick cutter out on the side of our garage that belongs to a Friends, we didn't want it to break so Kris and I both grabbed a side and started to bring it inside the garage, but the wind was so strong I slipped and the handle came down and knocked me in the face. Stupid thing. So we gave up on that until the neighbor could help Kris.
Poor Broc when we looked out the window he said "where is the trampoline mom?" I said "in the garage bud", "it must have been heavy for you to carry mom" I said "the wind broke it and it is in pieces in the garage". He was pretty sad.
Does Homeowners Insurance cover those kinds of things????? Probably not.

Date Night

Last night Kris and I took Broc to go see Aliens Vs. Monsters. We met up with some freinds as well enjoyed some pizza and then went on to the movie. The movie was okay I would recommend waiting till it comes out on video though. The cutest part of the whole night was Broc and their little girl Jaycee. As we walked into the movie theater they were holding hands and of course had to sit by each other. After the movie was over they reached for each others hand and walked all the way down the stairs together all the while not letting go. I was afraid one of them would fall down the stairs but thankfully they didn't. After we got out they continued walking ahead of us all the while holding hands and talking in their own little world. It was so funny and cute because they talked about the movie together asking which part was their favorite part. They totally looked like they were on their own little date.

Four Wheeling w/ Dad

We finally we got some nice weather two
weekends ago, and Kris and Broc have
been itching to get the four wheeler out.

Who is that????

On Tuesday this past week I went to the temple with my friend. As we were sitting in the chapel waiting to go in, a few people from my parents ward passed us, now these people that passed me have known me since I was 16. This is the funny part. As they walked past me I would look at them ready to say hi however not a single one of them recognized me. They would look right at me and keep walking because they didn't recognize me at all. I thought it was hilarious. Out of about a dozen people only one person recognized me. I couldn't stop laughing as these people walked past me. Thought you might like that and perhaps get a little giggle out of it.

Spring Has SPRUNG

Yippie, Wahooooooo, Spring is officially here. We have had great weather the past couple days. I went out on Thursday and pulled weeds for most of the day and still have another full days worth of pulling to do. It felt so good to be doing yard work. All though I have no pictures to post I just wanted to express my love for the wonderful weather and pray it continues. All though on Sunday it is already supposed to Storm. Oh well at least it was nice for a few days.

New Craft

Since my two sisters are always coming up with new and cute projects, my sister in law (Cami) and I thought we would create a project that maybe we could teach them how to do. While looking in the paper last week I saw that you can buy these cute signs out of blocks at Roberts but they were like $25. I thought okay that doesnt look to hard to make. Erik (my bro) cut out the blocks, we sanded them and then stained them and sanded the edges to give them a little bit of a disstressed look. We then picked out some cute scapbook paper and modge podged them on and printed viynle letters from my other sister in laws cricket. Then we added some cute emblishments to them. I thought they turned out pretty cute. Of course it was a two day project because we had other things going, but it was fun and I think we are going to try to make more for different holidays.

Thomas The Train Comes to Town

Papa heard Thomas the Train was coming to town to do a show, so he bought all the boys tickets to attend. I must say it was a pretty good show. I was kinda entertained. Of course you weren't supposed to take pics with a flash so hardly any of my pics turned out. So here are a couple of pics.
Broc really enjoyed the show as well as his cousins.

Arrrrrrrrrhhhhhhhh Matie

Dr. Susess Birthday

Last week they had a celebration for Dr. Susess birthday at the library. We invited Grandpa and Grandma to come along with us. They read us a story and then the Cat in the Hat came in. At first he scared Broc because he was crying really loud, but then he got into it. We made a Elephant out of paper plates that was supposed to be Horten. Then we made a magic wond, I dont know what that was for, and last he had to balance an egg on a spoon and walk around the room. It was pretty fun! Afterwards we went out for Ice Cream. I think that was the best part, for me anyway.

My Nurses

These two ladies (along with two others) have made my Chemo treatments fun and interesting. To the left is Jen, she is sporting a blue get-up that must be worn while hooking me up to the chemo. She was trying to look all tough. In the yellow we have Kelsey, she checks my temp, blood pressure and always brings me a cup with ice chips or sometimes a Dr. Pepper. These two ladies are so awesome and I love to visit with them. There are a couple other nurses that help out too but they weren't there when I took the pics. The same women in the blue get-up is the same one in the dark blue scrubs.

I haven't quite been on the ball with taking pics lately. But here is a pic of Broc from Sunday. He is getting so big and with a bald head he almost looks older.

The next day after shaving his head he ran into a chair and got a huge red spot on his forhead. But he seems to love the bald head and often rubbs his head. He also makes sure everyone knows he is bald by telling them. As if they couldn't see that themselves.
