Catching Up

I suppose I have been a little bit of a slacker, but not as much as some of my family and friends!!!
Lots of fun things going on lately but nothing too exciting. Kris and I went to the dunes a couple weeks ago with some of his friends. We asked Broc if he wanted to go but his Nana all ready asked him to go to her cabin with her family. I thought for sure once we told him we were going to the dunes he would forget about the cabin and come with us, NOPE. We got tossed aside and he said he would rather go to the "Cabinet with Nana, Bart-Bart and his sister KJ" I was a little sad but so happy that he loves to go with some of his favorite people in his life and have a great time. He really enjoyed going and told me about the deer he saw and how he told Blake (Nana's son in law) that they need to go shoot some deer. Thanks to the Lindseys for letting him be a part of your guys life. He sure loves you guys a lot.
Kris and I had a great time at the dunes, I was able to ride everywhere they went and it felt great! All though I found myself being more careful and not going in some of the bigger bowls and scarier places because I didn't want to get hurt due to BROC. One time I did turn my four wheeler to sharp while going fast and started to tip so I jumped off, but all is well. We rode all day long and had a great time, I hope that as Broc gets older this will something he enjoys. All though if the offer for the sand dunes or the "Cabinet"comes up I am sure he will still pick the "Cabinet"

On the 23rd they had a walk a thon for Broc's school. It was a pledge thing, so his first stop was Kris's work JACKPOT, they were so generous and nice to Broc. I couldn't believe everyone was so nice in pledging him. Thanks to those at C21 that pledged him. Next his Grandmas and Grandpas, aunts and of course our wonderful neighbors Mike and Sueann. He ended winning in his grade with the most pledges, he was rewarded with a $30.00 gift card to spend where-ever he wanted, he also gets a t-shirt, hoodie, water bottle, and a fleece blanket all with the schools mascot and logo on it. He was just aiming for the blanket! Over achiever!

Kris hired a trainer for me (4 sessions) because I told him I wanted to tone up a bit. So the first session we talked about what I wanted to achieve and about what type of exercise I have done and of course what I ate. I felt like I was in a bishops interview. He never judged me but you could tell he was like "YOU EAT LIKE CRAP!" but of course he didn't say that, just said he wanted me to try to eat these things and handed me a list of things to eat for breakfast lunch and dinner. So here is some of the things he wanted me to eat...
Chicken (no problem there)
Spinach (YUCK YUCK YUCK)
Salad with raspberry vignette dressing with almonds and maybe some berries in it (YUCK AGAIN, I am a ranch girl! If and when I eat salad)
Turkey breast with sweet potatoes (NO!)
Grilled Salmon (I only like it battered)
Whey Protein (nasty)
(If your interested in the meal plan he wrote out for me let me know and I will send it to you)

I had to keep a weeks worth of what I ate. When I gave it to him the only thing he circled that was good was that I drank water and had a bowl of oatmeal one morning and an apple for a snack. The rest of the stuff he just shook his head and said "I cant believe you dont weight more than you do" I took that as a complement. Well I learned a lot and really enjoyed the workout routines he gave me and hope to find more time so that I can put them to good use. The eating thing...well I tried! I like my white bread, candy corn, sugary cereal and dr. pepper too much.

Over UEA Broc and I went to New Mexico to visit my sister. This time instead of UEA standing for Utahans Entering Anaheim it was Us Entering Albuquerque lol I am so funny.
My Niece Shelby had started playing volleyball this year and her team was in the championship, it was so much fun to watch her and her team play. She has so much potential and has great team spirit. Which I think she got the team spirit from me because I was cheering so loud that I think my sister wanted to move away from me and pretend she didnt know me. However lucky for her we look too much alike for people to not know we are related. She is so lucky! Her team ended up in second place, but did an amazing job. Reminds me of my old volleyball days my freshman and Jr year of high school. We had so much fun, remember those days, Janelle, Katie, Lori, gosh so many of you guys, it was a blast wasn't it.
Another reason why we went was my brother in law was being put in as a bishop, he is going to do a wonderful job and Tara is such a wonderful example to so many people.
Broc and I flew out on Thursday, but since my parents were coming as well so we drove home with them. Lets just say it was a long drive and somewhere in that trip there was some major Christmas music going on. Sorry mom, but it is only October. The great thing was we ate at In-N-Out on the way home. So worth the Christmas music.

This Sunday is the primary program at church in which Broc has to sing the first article of faith. The weather is finally turning, I am some what excited about the change in weather but all ready miss the the warm sunshine. Have a great Halloween everyone.
Pics will follow soon!
