Finally a Shed

Some of you may wonder why I am so thrilled to have a shed done. Well I will tell you...

Last fall Kris wanted to build a shed. So one evening he set out to do so. That night I said "did you brace the walls?" He said "don't worry it will be okay I am going to work on it tomorrow." That very night a huge wind storm graced our presence and when we awoke in the morning, the shed was gone. All the wood was laying flat as could be. So of course I laughed and reminded Kris that it was wise to listen to his loving wife.

This time around Kris's Friend said he would come and help him build it so it would stand the wind and rain and snow. He is an engineer and a great one at that. So now thanks so him and Kris we now have a shed. Which I have been told will hold all my "yard Junk".

For the Birds

As much as I love birds and the beautiful sounds they make, right now I think I could kill them all. About a month ago a bird kept trying to make a nest in our BBQ grill. We would get ready to BBQ and there would be this nice perfect nest in our grill. So each time we would have to clean it out, and the very next day it would be back. And while making her nest she would poop all over our railing and our deck. So I finally bought a cover for the BBQ thinking our problem was solved. A week later I found that same bird making a nest on our wood trusses outside our front door. So again we kept knocking it down only to discover the next day it would be back again. This bird was very persistent!! After a couple of days of not remembering to look out the front door this bird had made its nest and had laid eggs. So having the big heart I do, I told Kris he couldn't knock it down and we would just have to wait till these eggs hatched. They hatched!! Now from what I can see are three little birds in the nest poking their little heads out every morning so their momma can feed them. It is so cute!!! However now we have bird poop dripping from our wood trusses out front. After they take flight I guess I will have my work cut out for me scrubbing the trusses.

Fun in the sun

Finally we have warm weather!!!!!
To the pools we go. We have been to the pools twice this week and have had so much fun. We went with some Friends and our cousin on Monday. I always bring my camera but forgot on Monday, so luckily I remembered today. I hope this weather keeps up because I am loving it. If anyone is up for some swimming let us know we love to go!

Thanks

Just wanted to tell those who commented on our blog thank you!
A shout out to the Hadleys... of course we remember you guys. I tried to look at your blog but it was blocked. Would love to check you guys out so send me an email with your blog address on it.
Also I hope Roscoe and Daisy don't get offended but I don't know who you are. So if you could also let me know your blog address that would be great.
Hope everyone is enjoying this lovely weather we are having!!

IFLY

For Fathers Day this year Kris his brother in law, his brother, and two of his nephews did the IFLY. For those who don't know what it is, it is a tunnel that blows a certain amount of air (depending on your weight and experience) at you. Making it feel like you are sky diving without jumping out of a plane. Not to mention it is much cheaper and not so life threatening.

Anyway, as soon as the guys got all suited up to go Broc asked if he could do it. I thought "he is probably too young to do it" so I asked and they said you bet. So they suited him up and he went along with his daddy. I tell you what this kid has fear of bugs but not of flying. He had a blast. Here are some of the pics I took. They are kind of hard to see because the plexiglas glass was scratched and hard to look through.

Suiting up for the big event!

Don't they look cute. The goggles were so tight on Broc's face that it was squishing his nose.

Broc did an awesome job. Sometimes he wouldnt keep his arms or legs in the right position and he would go all over the place. He just looked like he was doing some tumbling stunts.

Next it was Kris turn. He did a great job. Last year I suprised him and let him go Skydiving. He said he wanted to do that again but I thought um... lets do something a bit safer this time.

Each one of them got to fly for two minutes twice. So a whopping 4 minutes. But I was proud of both of them. Check out the marks on Broc's face from the googles he had to wear.

Beautful Double Rainbow

Last week after one of the many rain storms we got, a double rainbow appeared. It was so beautiful. One of rainbows colors were so vibrent it was wonderful to see it. Hope you enjoy the pics.

Yet another trip to the Zoo

We just can't seem to get enough of the zoo. We went last Friday with my sister in law and her kids. We had a great time as usual, the only thing was that it just so happened to be the time when all the schools were going. It was a bit more crowded then I like but it was still fun.
(I think this guy is looking kinda hungry dont you think?)
