Brownies

I love brownies, so for the past couple Sunday Broc and I have been making them. He is starting to get really good at cracking the eggs and pouring the oil in, and really good at licking the beaters! I of course get to lick the bowl and make sure I leave a little bit extra left in there so I can eat it. YUMMY

Dancing

Pre-School Talent Show

Broc has a lot of things he can do right now but I don't know if I would call them talents. Its more or less just being a kid or a boy. So when a paper came home saying that they were doing a talent show I was like "What is he going to do? He is four!" I thought okay he can recite all the articles of faith that he knows. (We are up to number 10 now) But then thought Um not all of the parents would get that. So I asked him if he wanted to sing the songs we sing before he goes to bed. He said sure.
We get there that morning and my parents come to show their support, and all the sudden he changes his mind and says he wants to dance to the transformer theme song. I was like um I don't have that with me. He said yes you do it is on your phone. I find it and it is his turn. He introduces himself and then I put my phone to the microphone so everyone can hear it and he goes over to the matt and does a quick turn and stops and runs back to me. He has never been shy at all! So this came as a shock to me and a couple other friends that were there that know him. So then he said he would sing. And again he froze up. Anyway he sang it only if I would sing it and of course not loud enough for it to be heard on camera. So here are some pics from his Talent Show. I was still very proud of him and hope there isn't another talent show until 6th grade!

No More Training Wheels

Last week I went over to my freinds house to visit and the kids wanted to ride bikes. The only bike left to ride was a girl bike with no training wheels. At first Broc was like "I'll just watch everyone because I dont want to ride a pink bike." But being the good mother I am I made him anyway. I walked behind him for a couple seconds then he took off all by himself! I was so excited I just about cried.
When we got home that day I told Kris and the next day he took the training wheels off. When Broc went out to ride he noticed his training wheels were no longer there and didnt want to ride. But of course he did and now he can do it. He still has a hard time starting off by himself, but does very well. All though he complains he is "just so tired mom, its harder with out the training wheels."
Here are a couple pics and a quick video for you to enjoy.

Articles of Faith

Many of you know that Broc has been working really hard on his Articles of Faith. A month ago we started with number one and he picked it up very quickly. Since then every night we start with number one, and end with what ever number he is on. He is now on number 9! I am so proud of him for having the desire to learn them. If we are in somewhat of a hurry at bed time and try to skip it, he says "Mom but we have to do the Articles of Faith."
Now you are probably thinking wow what a great and smart kid for wanting to know his Articles of Faith, I must confess...when we started it we told him that as soon as he knew all of them we would get him a new DS game. So I think that is his ultimate goal, but he still really wants to know them. Each week when he goes to Primary he tells his teacher he learned another one and away he goes telling them what it is. Another thing that happened in Primary that I was so proud to hear, was they were talking about article of Faith number 5 and they asked if anyone knew it. Of course Broc raised his hand and the leader, not really thinking he would know it said "okay Broc lets hear it, what is it" and he did it all by himself. They were in awe that he could do it and even remember it all by himself. I was such a PROUD mommy.
Anyway if I can get this to work here is Broc telling Articles of Faith 1 through 8.
