Trunk or Treat

Ward Trunk or Treat

Last night was our ward trunk or treat. They had chilli and bread sticks, they had a great turn out. After we ate we had to clean up our stuff and make room for more people to come and sit. Which I thought was great! It wasn't a suprise to anyone that Broc would be Thomas, everyone thought he looked so cute. I did too of course. We invited our niece to come too and she was a cute Orange Witch. Very cute, she even had a broom to ride on.
Enjoy the pics.

Happy Birthday Grandma Chris

Grandma Chris's birthday was on Sunday so we invited them down for dinner. I had this grand idea out of a magazine to cook Christmas Chicken. I bought all the stuff and pulled the chicken out that morning, got ready to prepare it and it said the chicken had to sit in this mix over night. I thought great now what am I going to cook. I thought again (SCARY) rolls! I had found another recipe for rolls in this book. So I started making that. Well it said to let it raise for an hour. I waited an hour and it didn't move. So Kris said let it raise during church and cook them when we get home. I get home and still NOTHING, so I threw that away. Apparently the water only needed to be luke warm for the yeast and not boiling hot. THIS IS WHY I DON'T COOK PEOPLE! I had two packages of this pasta stuff in the freezer so I popped that in and we had that. I was hoping to get it into another pan before they came so it looked nice but that didn't work. But then again they shouldn't be surprised. Thankfully Aunt Pip made a cake for Grandma so we sang and blew out candles TWICE. We love you Grandma and think you are an amazing mother, mother in law and of course Grandma. We hope you had a
terrific b-day.

Rehearsal Dinner Giving Angela A Hug

Getting Nervous

Wedding Day

Last week was a busy week. Broc was asked to be a ring bearer for our Friends wedding. On Wednesday he had his tux fitting and he was so tickled to try it on. He called it his costume. He kept asking when he can wear his costume again. On Thursday they had a rehearsal dinner. He did a really good job and wasn't scared at all. In fact he looked so cute and he the biggest cheesier ever. Friday was Angela's big day and it was a beautiful wedding. When we arrived there was a lot more people there then at the rehearsal so he said he was scared. I told him to be brave and just hang on to the pillow. As his turn came to walk down the isle he walked pretty fast and smiled and once he got to the front of the line he kept giving everyone a thumbs up and waving. It was cute of course but both Kris and I were trying to tell him to hold onto the pillow and put your hands down. It was still the cutest thing ever. We were so touched that Angela invited Broc to be a part of her special day. Now he is ready to go fishing with his favorite fishing buddy, so Angela when you get back and things settle down he wants to go fishing.
Congrats Cody and Angela and may you have all the love and joy Kris and I have!
Love ya

Park City

Last weekend we had a chance to go to Park City over night. It was a quick trip but was a nice change and we were able to get our minds off things around here and sit back and relax. We went with some friends the Kendricks, we were able to get a two bedroom condo, we went to a place that sounded good in the booklet but once we arrived there and saw it was in a strip mall we should have turned around and went somewhere else. It was okay but the chicken was very dry, needless to say we wish we would have listened to our instincts and went somewhere else. After leaving there we went and walked the old part of town. Mostly because I wanted to get a carmel apple. And boy was it worth it! We walked by the little pizza place on Main and I really could have eaten some pizza but figured since we just ate that wasnt the best idea. But it sure looked better than the place we ate at. When we got back the pool was still opened so we changed and went swimming. It said it was an inside pool, well it kinda was, it was covered for the most part but we had to walk outside to get to it and it was chilly. And of course I didn't have any sandels so I threw on my boots with my swimsuit. I looked so HOT! Amy and I sat in the hot tub while the guys played in the pool with the kids. We swam for about 45 mins then the pool closed, so we ran back to the room, showered and started watching Indiana Jones. The kids feel asleep about 25 mins into the show and Kris was on his way out too. They went to bed and Amy, Spank and I stayed up to watch this dumb show, then talked till about 2.
The next morning we cooked some breakfast and headed on home. I had to get back in time for church because I had to teach one more time (I was released from YW on Sunday and lucky Amy took my place!).
It was a quick weekend but a welcomed break from the everyday things that have been going on. We had a great time with our freinds and the kids were so good. We hope to do it again soon!

Just Hanging Out

Last Thursday (16th) was a very pleasant day. The swingset was calling our names, Broc is still learning to swing on his own. He knows he has to PUMP his legs but doesn't quite know when to do which part. It is pretty funny to watch!

Race For Trace Pics

Strides For Breast Cancer

This morning we woke up early to be in Salt Lake by 8 a.m. for my first Strides for Breast Cancer walk put on by the American Cancer Institute. Kris, Broc, my Mom, Pip, Mom C, Papa, Cole and his friend, Jen and April came to walk with us. It was held at Liberty Park and they had a handful of booths with information and T-shirts and free stuff to give away. My sister in law Pip bought me the shirt you see me in below. While walking around my patient navigator at McKay was down there and gave me this Sash that said Survivor on it along with the cute red hat you see Broc wearing. They had pink light weight draw string backpacks they were giving away too. Some people were walking around with this big board where you can write a message to the people you were supporting.
The race consisted of walking around Liberty Park 3x's. They handed out water, bananas, granola bars, yogurt while you were walking. Pip and my mother in law ran most of it, after the first time around Broc had spotted a play ground, so Kris and his brother took him over there for a little bit, then on the final lap Kris joined my side and finished with me. My mom, Jen and April were by me the whole race.
It was a great experience and one I hope to continue to do each year. Thank you to those who came to support and those who were silent supporters. I hope to see you all again at this next year and continue to raise awareness for breast cancer.

I thought these things were only found on Emails!

Rules: List 6 quirks that you have and then tag 6 other people to list their quirks.
  1. I iron just about everything. Except my underware. I even sometimes iron my sheets.
  2. When I shower I wash my entire body then go back and wash my legs again to shave them. Then wash them again.
  3. I cut my lawn a different way each time I mow and I like the lines to be straight!
  4. Like Kelly I fill up glasses of water and end up leaving them all over the house only to leave rings in the places where I leave them.
  5. Every night when Broc goes to bed we put him in bed then I do stuff till he falls asleep then I go in and check on him, then after I get out of the shower I check him again, then right before I get into bed I check him again. (FREAK!)
  6. Every time I go to Walmart even when Broc isn't with me I still go down the isle where the Thomas stuff is in hopes that they may have a new train. I think I am worse then Broc.

That was kind of hard to think of those. I hope you enjoy my weirdness and now I tag; Jen B, Kristin, Amy, Kim, Aarin and Julie. Enjoy and I will be checking. Thanks Kelly that was fun!

Bike Parachute

This afternoon Broc wanted to ride his bike, so I sat in the garage and watched. A few minutes later he came in the garage grabbed my umbrella. The next thing I saw was my little guy had somehow hooked the umbrella to his bike and rode it around. It looked like a parachute. It was pretty cute.

Halloween Costume

As many of you know our son LOVES Thomas the Train. I have had a really hard time trying to decide what Broc is going to be for Halloween this year and he keeps telling me something different every day. Saturday our decision was made and boy am I glad to have that checked off my list of things to do. Lori and her daughter Angela showed up yesterday with Broc's Halloween outfit. Take a look!
THANKS LORETTA!!!! HE LOVES IT!
