Barker Fish Farm
Today we went with Lori and Angela fishing to the fish farm. From the first time Angela and Lori took him last year he has loved to go fishing. This time I got to go with him and it was pretty funny. He loves to throw the line in the water and right before he gets ready to cast you better be at least 5 feet away otherwise you may end up getting hooked. Thankfully Lori and Angela were there to help him put the goop on his line, because I was not going to touch that stuff. He caught several fish but by the time he would reel them in they would be gone, but he did get two that we brought home. We had they fillet them so we could cook them, however Kris and I don't like fish, so we don't really know how to cook it. Broc wanted it for dinner tonight, but I convinced him to have hamburgers and hot dogs instead and we would cook the fish another night, Saved for one more night.

16.2 Miles
Yesterday my sister-in-law Amber and I went on a bike ride, not just any bike ride, a 16.2 mile. We rode around Pine View Reservoir. It was a beautiful ride and for me a difficult ride at some points. But I can now say it conviction that I can do just about anything. Thanks Amber for your encouragement and faith in me. Now lets not do it again for at least a month!

Race
An Estimated 18,000 people attended the Susan G. Koman race last Saturday. Me along with my sister-in-law were part of that 18,000. When I found out about the whole Breast Cancer thing a group of women told me about this group of women called the Young Survivor Sisters. It is a non-profit organization, more of a support group, that is for women 40 years and younger who need support. I meet the head lady Ginger in Layton and we rode down together. I was so glad she called to see if we could ride together because I got to know her better and she is awesome.
We arrived a little bit earlier so we could get a good parking spot. Around 8 tons of people starting showing up. There were so many people I couldnt believe it. My friend Ginger knew the lady from FM100 so they asked to take a pic with the Young Survivor Sisters group, that was pretty neat. Once the race started Ginger and I stayed back so we could get a pic of all the people from behind, my sister in law ran the 5K and we caught up with her at the end. If any of you know where the Channel 5 building is that is where it started, people were lined up on both sides of the street all the way to the old Childrens Museum. Hopefully my pic's did it justice so you can see.
After the race they had all the Breast Cancer Survivors line up and they did a celebration walk, we all got roses and we walked through the Gateway and up on the steps were they took our pics and released beautiful doves. This was a wonderful day! Hopefully next year I will know about it more in advance so I can get you all to join me. Several people had their support groups with them, ie, family, friends. Next year I hope all of you can join me for this wonderful event. You will be amazed at this group of women who have beaten the odds, and meet seveal people who are walking for those who have lost their battle to Breast Cancer.
Thanks Pip for coming with me, you are the best!

Arrived
Thankfully my sister brought her computer so all of us are able to update our blogs while we are here! I will start with the day we left, Wednesday. Mine and Cami's flight left at 7:50 am. My plan was to pick her up around 6, however I was so excited and of course couldnt sleep so I got there are 5:10, she of course wasn't ready because I wasnt supposed to be there that early.
We arrived in Long Beach at 9am and got our rent a car and traveled to Ontario CA to pick up my two sisters. However we had some major time to kill because they didnt arrive till 1pm. So we of course found the nearest mall and walked around there. Not really looking for anything particular I found some shoes!!!!! I had all ready brought 5 pairs with me, Yes 5 pairs. After a while we were getting a bit hungry so we went to a place I love called BAKERS. They have the best burritos!!
It came time to pick up the Ladies. We found some paper and made little signs that had their names on them and another sign that said DISNEYLAND OR BUST. We are such DORKS! After picking them up they wanted to go to the mall we went to. After walking half way around they of course were hungry. After telling them we went to Bakers for lunch they wanted to go. So we went back and walked in to order and it was the same girl that took our order from earlier. She actually recongnized us. I felt like such a dork. Of all the places to go and eat we picked a fast food place.
Later that night we walked around Downtown Disney. It was fun, I got a yummy carmel apple.
And of course we had to go to Target, our husbands teased us because they say we came all this way and we went to Target.
Today (Thursday) was a great day! I will post pics later and tell you all about today tomorrow (Friday).
Kris and Broc are doing well, broc had a hot dog for breakfast YUCK! Oh well I am sure they are surviving.

No More Training Wheels
Well it really didn't happen, the no training wheel thing, but it has begun. He said to us the other day he was ready to take the "little extra wheels off" his bike. Friday we took them off and of course he was pretty scared.
Watching him ride his bike it always looks like he has pretty good balance, but after watching him on Friday...not quite. But I think with some more practice he will be a pro in about two weeks. Hopefully the weather will be good so we can practice.
Back Tat
The other day we went to Pizzeria for dinner. Broc has a thing about those silly little quarter machines, so of course Kris gave him a quarter, and he picked the one that had tattoos. Thinking he would get a small one I was excited for him. However when it came out it was the biggest press on tattoo I had every seen, and to make it even funnier (if that is a word) it was a huge rubber duck. Very MANLY I must say. So here is a cute pic of Broc with his MANLY tattoo.

THE BEST NEWS
Many of you know I went in for yet another surgery on Tuesday to have another lump removed. We were very nervous about the outcome because the surgeon didn't know what it was. Well they called on Thursday and said that it was a bunch of old tissue and that it was benign! That was the best news in a very long time. I am pretty sure it is safe to say we are out of the woods. Thanks again for everyone's support and for you love and prayers.
We love you all
We love you all

Plenty of Candy
This year we went to the Easter Egg hunt in our city. They had a great turn out and Broc defiantly got the hang of it. He ran out as soon as they blew the horn and ran from one spot to the next. He pretty much filled his basket.
After that one we went up to Kris's parents Easter Egg hunt in their city. Kris's dad oversee's it so we went to that. Of course we were late, so we didn't get to find an egg but we still got a basket of candy. They do it a little bit different up there, they just throw plastic eggs out and once you get one it has a number on it and that determines the basket you get. Apparently they have been doing this for years and years. Seemed to work I guess. At any rate he had a great time. After that we went over to Kris's Grandmas and they did another Easter Egg hunt. They just threw candy all over the grass, they did have one plastic egg for each kid with a special piece of candy in it, however some were empty. I then noticed the reason why some were empty was because one of the kids were going around and taking the big candy out and sneaking it into his basket and then putting it back together and putting it on the ground. Pretty cleaver little kid, until he got caught by his parents. I thought it was pretty funny!

On Sunday we had my family come over which only consisted of me, Kris, Broc, Mom, Dad, Grandma, Erik (my bro) Cami, and their two kids Ashli and Spencer. We ended up doing an Easter Egg hunt for just the two boys because of course Ashli is just too old, lol. She enjoyed helping us hide the eggs.
Needless to say we have so much candy and we are not afraid to recycle. JK, but if anyone needs candy please come to my house because we are not huge candy eaters.
Happy Easter Everyone

Happy Easter
What a beautiful day it turned out to be. The weather was kind of chilly but not terribly bad. After church my family came over and we enjoyed some chicken, baked beans, a yummy jello thing, rolls, and a very delious strawberry dessert. We then hid about 100 eggs for just two little boys to find. A lot of eggs for just two boys. But they had a great time. Here are some pics before church. Dont my boys look handsome.
Last year I cut out little bunny prints and put them all over the house, this time I thought about it all week but then totally forgot, so it wasn't as fun. At least I didn't think so, but Broc still enjoyed looking for his easter basket.

3-D Experience
Tuesday we braved the cold and went down to the gateway to watch a movie at the Clarke Planetarium. It was a 3D movie about the sea life. It was really cool and Jim Carey was the narrator. I suggest everyone to take your kids to see it, it was pretty cool. We also rode the Front Runner down, something Broc was dieing to do.

Up, Up and away
Saturday was such a beautiful day. I planted a couple flowers, Kris worked some more on the basement, Broc played outside jumping on his trampoline, playing in the sand.
AND THEN CAME THE WIND
"This is what our trampoline is supposed to look like!"
However this morning when I got up and started getting ready for church all the sudden I heard this loud noise. Noticing it was the wind, I opened the blinds just in time to see our very heavy trampoline being lifted up in the air and blown across our yard hitting the back of the neighbors house. Kris was still laying in bed and I said Holly Crap there goes our trampoline. He jumps out of bed and looks out the window while I go running down the hall to grab my jacket and boots.
We get outside and the trampoline is smashed on one side, missing pieces on another and springs where everywhere. As we start trying to tear it apart we realize we are going to need some help, I called our neighbors and probably woke them up and they came to help. They said they had heard a loud noise but didn't know what it was.
The wind was blowing so hard that as you walked you were literally blown away, it was hard to get back in the garage with the pieces of the trampoline once we started taking it apart. All the trash cans were being blown everywhere, ours along with 5 other peoples news papers were down the street. We had a brick cutter out on the side of our garage that belongs to a Friends, we didn't want it to break so Kris and I both grabbed a side and started to bring it inside the garage, but the wind was so strong I slipped and the handle came down and knocked me in the face. Stupid thing. So we gave up on that until the neighbor could help Kris.
Poor Broc when we looked out the window he said "where is the trampoline mom?" I said "in the garage bud", "it must have been heavy for you to carry mom" I said "the wind broke it and it is in pieces in the garage". He was pretty sad.
Does Homeowners Insurance cover those kinds of things????? Probably not.
